Pour la majorité des cordeurs qui utilisent une machine électronique, nous conseillons de mettre 2 kg de moins en raison de l’élasticité du cordage Meteor.

Le typage du Meteor est clairement du côté des monos en sensations.
Pas d’élongation à la pose, on s’étonne même de cette relative rigidité lorsqu’on le corde.
Les cordes bougent peu, et l’on peut imprimer suffisamment de lift.
Afin d’avoir un bon compromis vitesse / précision, il est conseillé de le tendre un peu plus qu’un mono classique (+1 kg), et même ainsi il reste très confortable.
C’est clairement un des meilleurs monos du marché pour le niveau de confort. Sans sembler trop “mou” néanmoins.
En jauge 1.30 mm il est réactif : on sent bien la balle s’enfoncer un peu dans le tamis et repartir avec beaucoup de vitesse pour un mono.
On perd forcément un peu en précision sur les frappes un peu plus à plat, mais il est bien meilleur qu’un multi dans en termes de contrôle globalement.
On regrette que la seule couleur disponible soit ce vert un peu clivant et qui ne s’accorde pas avec beaucoup de raquettes.
Mais la promesse en performances, et en jouabilité est tenue.

L-Tec Premium Meteor 1.30 (24kg) x 98 sq inch, 305 gr, open 16*20 Advanced intermediate player. String tested against low-intermediate and very advanced hitting partners.
New release from L-Tec Premium. Shaped. Very little stretch while stringing.
Baseline: short dwelling time, very responsive stringbed. The ball would leave the stringbed with much power and plenty of rpms even when hitting relatively flat. Sweet-spot was very informative. Stiffness remained above moderate-high. The very open string pattern allowed me to play defensively against advanced hitting partner, most of the time leading to a fault on his behalf, rather than hitting winners with driving shots. Most of the time I hit with top-spin and trying to move my partner around.
Forehands: always felt more confident hitting with some top-spin to move my partner around the baseline, not allowing him to get into the court and leading to faults or me hitting targets towards the sidelines. Very good response on the very low balls.
Backhands: I could hit both 1hbh and 2hbh better with top-spin, rather than flat. Slicing from the baseline and approaching were assisted by its shape and grab on the ball.
Netplay: I stuck most of the time behind the baseline, I just hit some forehand driving volleys. Very open string pattern led a few go long. A couple that I hit from high-to-low with underspin felt much better.
Conclusions: This was a combo that would work great on clay! Compared to the other 2 L-Tec strings, Celeste and 7S, this one I enjoyed better when playing intensively with an advanced hitting partner, not that much when playing at a medium pace with a beginner-intermediate partner. It rewards fast-pace groundstrokes. Ideal for a defensive baseliner that will hit most winners from the mid-court aiming to the sides, rather than hitting flat from the baseline. Only drawback was that depth on flat shots was not its forte with this racket. With a tighter string pattern, I bet control on flat hitting would be even better.

L-Tec Premium Meteor 1.30 20kg x Diadem Nova FS100
Revisiting this string which I’ve previously played with the Diadem Elevate v2 at much higher tension. This time, I went low to simulate how it plays at medium-to-low intesity, since the info I got is it’s being used in academies by kids.
Very comfortable. Easy depth. Better Control than 1.30 full-bed of multifilament (Wilson Sensation, MSV Soft Touch, Diadem Impulse, Dyreex Black Mist)
Baseline: very noticable dwell-time, easy depth and comfort, strings would not stick out of place like multifilaments or polyamide full-beds.
Forehands: I hit dead-flat with the Nova and with this string I only needed about 60-70% of motion speed and swing to get deep depth. It’s highlight from the baseline was returning chest-high balls hitting them flat or hitting some flat winners. Exaggerating some top-spin forehands gave some top-spin, but I couldn’t keep applying so much motion during a long match. Good thing is that the strings would not stay out of place.
Backhands: worked great on the short and flat 2-handed backhand. Slicing with the Nova is never easy for me and I found it easier and more effective to hit 2-handed backhand than slicing.
Netplay: super comfortable, powerful response, just place the racket face right and no underspin is needed, blocking shots was very effective as most of them bounced deep
Conclusions: I’ve mostly used this setup during warm-ups and to hit groundstrokes after match plays to cool down. I’ve only played 3 games with it (1 serve, 2 return serves). I feel the Meteor 1.30 suits best tweener rackets 280-300gr, played at low tension, instead of multifilament, as it provides everything a full-bed of multifilament does, but with less launchiness and better control. Personally, when using a multifilament, I have to add a soft and round polyester in the crosses to reduce the power and better snapback.
